Ubisoft Store

Introduction

The Ubisoft Store is the official online shop of Ubisoft, the French publisher behind series such as Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Rainbow Six and Just Dance. It sells Ubisoft's PC games and add-ons along with some third-party titles, and offers the Ubisoft+ subscription, which started as Uplay+ in 2019 and gives subscribers access to a catalogue of Ubisoft games.

Ubisoft's PC games run through Ubisoft Connect, the company's launcher and account service. It began as the Uplay rewards system in 2009, gained a PC client with a built-in storefront in 2012, and was merged with the Ubisoft Club and renamed Ubisoft Connect in October 2020. Ubisoft Connect is required for Ubisoft games even when they are bought on Steam or the Epic Games Store.

Advantages

  • Official store for Ubisoft games
  • Ubisoft+ subscription available
  • Refunds within 14 days, under two hours

Disadvantages

  • Ubisoft Connect required to play
  • DLC not refundable

Buying on Ubisoft Store

Ubisoft games bought on the Ubisoft Store are added to your Ubisoft account and installed through Ubisoft Connect. Ubisoft may refund digital PC games bought on its store if the request is made within 14 days of purchase and you have less than two hours of playtime. DLC, season passes, year passes and virtual currency are excluded, and refunds can be requested through the Order History page.

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, or are issued as a Ubisoft Store voucher if the payment method cannot be refunded. A refunded game is removed from your account along with any related in-game purchases, and Ubisoft notes that additional conditions and restrictions apply, so check the current refund policy before buying.
