EA app
Introduction
The EA app is Electronic Arts' PC store and launcher, used to buy, install and play games from publishers such as EA Sports, BioWare, Respawn and DICE, along with a selection of third-party titles. It succeeds Origin, the store EA launched in 2011. The EA app left beta in October 2022 after about two years of testing, and Origin was retired on Windows in April 2025.
Purchases are linked to an EA account and installed through the EA app on Windows, which handles downloads, updates, cloud saves and friends lists. The app is also the home of EA Play, EA's subscription service that gives members access to a catalogue of EA games and trials of new releases. Accounts and libraries from Origin carried over to the EA app automatically.
Avantages
- Official store for EA games
- EA Play subscription available
- Refund window for eligible full games
Inconvénients

Games bought from the EA app or EA.com are added to your EA account and installed through the app. Under the EA refund policy, formerly called the Great Game Guarantee, eligible full EA games for PC can be refunded within 24 hours of first launching them, within 14 days of purchase if not yet launched, or any time before release for pre-orders.
DLC is not eligible for refunds, and third-party games qualify only if they carry the EA refund policy designation at the time of purchase. Refunds are requested through the Refund Tool or your order history. EA games bought from Steam, Epic, console stores or retailers are not covered and follow those sellers' own refund rules.
